Skincare has been my jam lately. Maybe it’s turning 25, but I’ve been making my skincare routine a top priority, and sharing the best of the best with you. When it comes to moisturizers, a staple in everyone’s routine, it’s not a one product fits all type of deal. Where you live, your skin type, and your needs all factor into picking the right moisturizer, and you may currently be using one that isn’t right for you.
Today I’m delving into Olay Regenerist Moisturizers ― you know, that iconic red jar ― to help you determine which one fits your needs best.
BUT, DO I REALLY HAVE TO MOISTURIZE?
This is more of a question I hear from those with oily skin, but regardless if you’re dry, normal, oily or combination skin, YOU NEED TO MOISTURIZE!
When you think about it, our face goes through a lot. Daily cleansing, weekly exfoliation, makeup for some of us, etc. When we cleanse and exfoliate, we are often stripping some of our natural oils from our skin. Without that added hydration, our skin becomes susceptible to dryness, leading to the early development of fine lines and wrinkles.

Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream Face Moisturizer
This is a rich and nourishing moisturizer that’s great for dry / normal skin, and for those who love that insanely hydrated feel. It takes a minute or two to fully absorb, but it’s so worth it. I’ll go make my coffee or start doing my hair in the meantime! This is my red jar of choice, because not only do I have dry skin, but it tends to look patchy after a long day if I’m wearing makeup and forget the moisturizer. My skin looks so plump (in the best way) and hydrated, it’s like it drank a big glass of water.
If you work in an office or spend most of your day in an air-conditioned space, this moisturizer will help combat what the dry air will do to your skin. Even if you have oily skin, this one might be good to have on hand during the dry, winter months, or even just at night. I actually like the scent of this moisturizer, as it’s not overpowering at all, but it does come in a fragrance-free version if that’s more your jam!
Olay Regenerist Whip Face Moisturizer
Whips is totally different, and you’re gonna love this if you like something lighter and airier. It’s great for everyday and those with on-the-go lifestyles, as it’s super breathable! If you don’t have the time or patience in the morning to wait for your moisturizer to absorb, Whips is the way to go. It absorbs quickly into a matte finish, so it’s amaze for those with oily skin who still want to stay hydrated. If you wear makeup, Whips is also a great base and doubles as a primer!
I hope this helped you find which moisturizer is right for you! Save this post or my template so you can bring it with you to the store so you can easily find your red jar moisturizer! I’m curious, which did you get? Are you #TeamCream or #TeamWhips?! Let me know in the comments below!
