Daycation: A Visit to Ojai

Last month, some friends and I drove about an hour and a half northwest of Los Angeles for a little daycation in Ojai, California! Ojai (pronounced oh-hi) is a charming little town that seriously makes you feel like you’re in a completely different world than LA! We stayed at the Ojai Vista Farm, which can be perfectly summed up as the  bohemian Pinterest house of your dreams. Seriously, it’s the cutest place I’ve ever stayed!

I was re-watching the early seasons of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills (guilty pleasure) when they made a trip up to Ojai for some relaxation. I couldn’t help but immediately pull open my laptop to search where the heck Ojai was and when I could get there STAT! I went to Instagram to search the Ojai location (go-to travel hack!) and stumbled upon the insanely beautiful Ojai Vista Farm. Alex and I had been craving a day-cation away from the city for quite some time, so when we got the opportunity to stay there we could not pass up inviting some friends to enjoy the unreal views of this 10-acre farm! Shouts to Jill, Tara, Katie, Jenna and Tony for making this spontaneous trip with us!

THE NOT SO HUMBLE ABODE

Can we just talk about how cute the guest house is? We didn’t end up needing the extra space, but there are a couple of beds in here if you have a large group of people!

INCREDIBLE VIEWS

Band Of Gypsies Dress (on mega sale! I’m wearing an XS) | Mexican Blanket| Marc Jacobs Lipstick | Crochet Hammock

We made some fresh Cowboy Caviar salsa, walked around the farm, and relaxed on the hammock while soaking up that this is REAL LIFE. Someone pinch me.

EVENING FESTIVITIES

Vitamin A One Piece Swimsuit | Swimsuit DupeRay-Ban Round Sunglasses | Free People Scrunchie

There’s also a pool and hot tub in the back of the main house! After dinner (the boys made us homemade pizzas and pasta!) we all topped the night off by chatting away in the hot tub! I also fell in love with this robe I used as a coverup at night! It was hanging in the bathroom for guests to use, so I had to take some photos in it! Wish I could link it for you babes, but everything else is above!

BREAKFAST: AVOCADO PICKING

The estate is nestled in a 10-acre avocado farm, which guests are allowed to take full advantage of! A Los Angelenos dream?! Oh yeah. We picked some ripe avocados and made fresh avocado toast for breakfast before reluctantly heading back home.

WHY YOU SHOULD STAY HERE

If you’re living in the city and/or are looking to trade the hustle and bustle for some much needed rest and recharge, this is by far the perfect getaway you could dream of. Sure, it’s a pretty steep price to stay here. But this is not the place stay all by yourself. It’s far too magical not to enjoy with your family or a group of friends. You can even bring your fur babies!

It has 7 beds, a guest house off of the main house, and 10-acres to roam and explore. Sip wine while watching an unmatched sunset over the mountains, breathe in the fresh air while meditating on gratitude rock, or take a sunrise hike. I’m so grateful we had our friends up to soak it all in with us, even if we are the worst and didn’t get any pictures together! (Honestly this was mainly due to Alex and I having to spend most of our time at the emergency vet, but that’s a story for another day).

I wish photos could do this place justice, but if you are looking for the perfect place to rejuvenate, check out Ojai Vista Farm’s Airbnb listing to book your stay, and be sure to follow their Instagram for more glimpses into this incredible spot! Comment below if you would stay here too!

Disclosure: I partnered with Ojai Vista Farm on this stay, however all opinions, thoughts, and experiences are completely my own.

A couple of weeks ago, I obtained a copy of my scores from the 3 credit bureaus; they were in the 579 range, how pathetic. He says there was no way I could be granted a loan with such a score so he rather introduced me to a credit specialist. In a few weeks, the specialist deleted all items on my report and raised my score to a whopping 791 across all 3 bureaus and I got my loan after 4 days, very excited. fixmycredit @ writeme dot com.
