4th of July Outfit Idea: Seaside Stripes

Happy Friday babes! I could not be more excited for the weekend. On Monday’s post, I told you guys how conflicted I was with fourth of July plans, or should I say lack thereof. While writing that post I was transported back to my childhood: back on the lake, without a care in the world. I couldn’t stop thinking about how great it would be to be back at the cabin. I called up my mom, booked Alex and my flight a few days later, and now I’m headed up North for a week of relaxation.

Alex has been sifting through our favorite vegan cookbook all morning, finding the perfect recipes to make amongst our carnivorous friends and family. I think we’ve landed on mango salsa tacos with chickpea fillets, and field roast “sausage” kabobs. My mouth is watering as we speak. Side note: if you’re new to the plant-based lifestyle, are curious about it in any aspect, or just love damn delicious food, I highly recommend picking up this cookbook. It has every excuse in the book (literally) for not going vegan, including: I Could Never Give Up Cheese! to My Friends Won’t Want To Come Over For Dinner. Trust me, you’ll never want it missing from your kitchen cabinet again.

I hope you guys enjoyed my first week of blog posts, with all outfits inspired by the 4th of July! Today’s look concludes my outfit inspo for the holiday, but is a trendy look you’ll be sure to rock throughout the summertime. I love stripes just as much as everyone else this season, and this playsuit is no exception! The flowing, off-the-shoulder tier is feminine and flattering, and it comes with a tie-belt over the elastic waistband. This is another one of those outfits that you can throw on, and instantly look photo ready! The material is lightweight, making it the perfect accompaniment to a beach day as well.

Make sure you’re subscribed to my newsletter (in the sidebar) for a welcome letter from me, and exclusive content coming your way very soon as my way of saying thank you for joining me on this exciting new endeavor. I’ll be taking the weekend off, as should you, but will be back Monday to switch it up a bit. Next week, I’ll be delving into some advice that many of you have been asking me over the past year. You won’t wanna miss it!

Cheers to the weekend!

Saucy! Girl…can you recommend us a place for tape extensions here? I know you got yours done in the east coast…have you found any good places here in LA or Orange County?

Hey Crystal! I would love to do a blog post all about my hair, where I get it done, my recommendations, pros/cons, etc! I actually have never gotten them done on the east coast, as I live in LA! I’ve gone to a few places here in LA that I can recommend off the bat: Spoke & Weal, Giuseppe Franco Salon, as well as stylists who rent out their spaces and do their own thing! Tapes are not the cheapest out here, but they’re definitely not the most expensive of extensions! I would recommend going on Yelp, reading reviews of places in your area, checking out their Instagram pages is also super helpful. Good luck! xx
