Happy New Year babes! It’s officially 2018, which means I’m having a slight panic attack knowing it’s been 14 years since Mean Girls came out. To kick off the new year, I want to invite you all into my head, and share what’s going to change and what’s going to stay. After experiencing what I can only describe as a career quarter-life identity crisis, I made the decision to put out less content while I worked through my priorities. I couldn’t figure out whether I could truly make content that I love that you also loved. I know it sounds like an obvious answer, but my content wasn’t translating to my standards. Finally, a few months ago, a lightbulb went off inside my head. I’ve been given this platform where I can ask my loyal viewers what they truly want/don’t want from me. Why wouldn’t I take advantage of that?

Again, I know that sounds obvious, but hear me out: the topics I want to talk about aren’t exactly viral-worthy. I’m not into creating drama for the sake of views, click-baiting the sh*t out of you, buying thousands of dollars of mystery boxes or being super raunchy. I’m not a slime queen, and I don’t have a crazy past that makes jaw-dropping story times for days. But that’s the thing: I don’t have to be! There are plenty of other creators doing their thing and killing it. I will never be fulfilled as a creator if I’m not doing what I’m passionate about. I’m done caring what others think of me, done trying to be someone I’m not, and done having a pity-party by wallowing in self-doubt. As Miley says best, Imma do my thang.

I’m using the new year as a cliché excuse to start fresh. I’ve finally solidified my brand identity with a kick-ass logo (which you will hopefully be seeing on products in the near future)! I’ll only put out higher-quality content that I’m proud of and excites me. I’ll be covering more health and wellness to encourage you and myself to live happier, healthier lives. I’ll be testing recipes and hunting for the best deals and vegan products out there. I want to open up a discussion of ethical/sustainable fashion and lifestyle. Are we doing all that we can to produce less waste? Just how wasteful are we being on a daily basis? I will continue my #GirlBoss series, and share my travels. I’m super passionate about traveling, and can’t wait to bring this more front and center on the blog this year in the form of guides, recommendations, and accommodations.

I never want to put myself in a bubble and say I won’t cover a certain topic. However, I can say that you won’t find half-ass content from me anymore. I refuse to post a video, blog, or even Instagram just for the sake of posting something. Everything I post from now on will have a purpose: to inspire, to educate, to relate. (Okay maybe my Instagram stories will be exempt from this because let’s face it, I’m a weirdo). You also won’t be seeing videos from me everyday, or even every other day. The vast majority of you told me you wanted 1-2 videos from me per week, so that’s what you’re gonna get! As of now, I don’t want to set a schedule on what days I’ll be posting videos or blogs, but you won’t have to go a week without seeing a post from me anymore.
